Salanfe’s discovery trail was opened in 2000 and is the result of a project commissioned by Espace Mont-Blanc and carried out by geographer Sandro Benedetti and photographers Alexandre Scheurer and Sebastien Rouiller.
This trail will lead you to discover the wide variety of fauna and flora of the region: chamois, marmots and an abundance of wild flowers are just the beginning of its riches.
For those of you who would like to know more about the area’s geology, fauna and flora, a guide is sold at the inn for 6CHF.
This guide covers the following subjects:
- Local geology (arsenic mine, rock stratas, the delta, water courses)
- Surrounding mountains
